Bigg Boss 14 postponed, to premiere on October 4

Bigg Boss 14, which was going to premiere in the last week of September has been pushed to October. Earlier, there were reports that Bigg Boss 14 will begin from September 27 but according to the latest information, Bigg Boss 14 will premiere on October 4 on Colors TV.

There were speculations that Bigg Boss 14 is being postponed as the set is not ready. However, the major reason for the reality show's postponement is because of sponsors. The Bigg Boss teams is scouting for new sponsors as the Chinese brand associated with the show for last few years could not come on board.

Apart from the sponsors' issue, the makers are also struggling to get big names for the show as contestants. Makers of Bigg Boss 14 are still finalising the contestants. According to a source close to the show, many contestants backed out at the last minute. Before the contestants enter the Bigg Boss house, they will be quarantined at various locations in September. This will be followed by medical tests of the contestants and only after that these contestants will enter the BB house. Makers don't want Bigg Boss 14 to start early and clash with IPL. So, the premiere date has been pushed to October.

This also means that the 14th season of Bigg Boss will start in its original month. Most of the previous seasons of Bigg Boss premiered in October in the last 12 years of its run on Colors TV. Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 14 set is under construction at Mumbai 's Film City by Omung Kumar and team. The look will be futuristic and will be based on the lockdown. Although Mumbai rains affected the construction of the sets but it seems the work is in full swing now.
